Norma

Norma Foster has been dog grooming since 1986. She attends many educational seminars on grooming and dog psychology. She also attends dog shows and seminars to keep pace with new and updated products and equipment.These seminars and shows have given her the skills to manage all breeds and personalities. She specializes in pet and Show Confirmation grooming for Scottish Terrier Dogs and pet grooms for every other breed of dogs.
She is well known in the Dog Show World as a sought after professional Scottish Terrier groomer who excels at Handstripping and Confirmation Grooming. People come from as far as Springfield Ma, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine to have Norma groom and condition their Scotties and ready them for the Show circuit.

Norma is also a member of the Scottish Terrier Club of New England (STCNE) and for many years did behavior and temperment assessments for Scottish Terriers placed in the STCNE rescue program. These assesments benefit the Scottish Terriers placed up for adoption to find what type of family and living conditions would best suit the adopted Scottish Terrier.

Norma is a Scottish Terrier Breeder. Her purpose is to improve the Scottish Terrier breed. She only mates her Finished Champions with other Finished Champions that have quality characteristics and temperments that will add to those already in her Line. Norma does not place her Scottish Terrier puppies for sale until they are 12 weeks old. This gives her time to get the puppies a check up and their first and second set of puppy shots. During the 12 weeks she decides which puppies are suitable for show and which are for pets. Her Scottish Terrier breeding has produced several Finished Champions

First events for a puppy will last the puppie's lifetime. If a puppy is handled harshly or hurt during a groom the puppy will resit being brushed or inspected. They will remember what happenedd the first time and expect the same tratment. Norma has worked on dogs that have experienced improper handling by other groomers on the puppie's first visit. That is why Norma takes great care in making your puppie's first grooming visit a pleasant experience. This practice helps your puppy learn to enjoy and look forward to handling done during a groom.

Joseph Bouchard has been working at Norma's Corner since 2006. As an apprentice, he has learned and excelled at "Humanely" bathing and brushing all types of dogs, keeping safety at the forefront of all he does. Over the past 6 years, Joseph has also become proficient at "pre-trimming" and accomplishes this task with quality and the dog' safety in mind at all times. He is always striving to learn more and do better. Joseph is an asset to Norma's Corner and we hope to have a continued and lasting relationship.
